It’s not even February yet and already press releases are starting to come out announcing the indie music festivals that have popped up all over the world. Just announced: the latest installment of the Toronto Island Concert.
Broken Social Scene is proud to announce the return of the Toronto Island Concert this summer, June 19, 2010 on Toronto Island. This yearâ€™s all-day event will be co-headlined by Broken Social Scene and Pavement, who make their first return to Toronto in over a decade.
Pavement just announced the release of a greatest hits album, Quarantine The Past, out March 9 on Matador, to coincide with their 2010 tour. Also joining the bill will be Sub Pop recording artist, Band of Horses. Additional artists to be announced closer to the date.
Starting next Monday, January 18, fans will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for this event before they go on sale to the general public through the Arts & Crafts on-line store www.GalleryAC.com. Pre-sale purchasers will automatically be included in an opportunity to win one of 10 pairs of VIP wristbands, as well as $5 coupon to the on site Arts & Crafts pop-up store. Tickets go on sale to the general public starting Friday, January 22 at 10am.
