Fabio Quartana Fall/Winter 2012Check out the latest collection from Italian menswear designer Fabio Quaranta. The photos are just so-so, but the collection is pretty awesome.

Born in 1977, Roman, astigmatic and left-handed, Fabio Quaranta had his first encounter with fashion when he planned a vinyl covering for an All Star sneaker. At the same time he created his own label, FQR for men’s ready-to-wear and developed artistic projects for Motelsalieri, a workshop where he invites creatives from all over the world to promote their work.

Mr. Quaranta’s concept of fashion is linked to the idea of feeling good and at ease inside the clothes you wear. He loves uniforms in general and Enzo Cucchi’s style. His icons include Syd Barrett, Daniel Johnston, Gianni Colosimo, Will Oldham, Aleister Crowley and Carlo Benvenuto.

Fabio Quaranta Spring/Summer 2012Check out the Spring/Summer 2012 collection from Italian menswear designer Fabio Quaranta, whose line we’ve had our eye on since last season. Quaranta, it should be noted, won the design competition at Pitti Uomo last year, which is quite an honor. The collection is a mix of fitted more classic menswear pieces with off beat cuts and construction. Our favorite: his interpretation of the jumpsuit, which you’ll see a few versions of in the collection.
