Mark your calendars: I'm having an all out dive bar election night celebration party from 9pm - midnight or later at Lucy's in the East Village. I'm celebrating an Obama win, so if you're of the other persuasion, come at your own risk. Of your pride that is.

If you're not familiar with Lucy's, it's hands down the best dive bar in town. The owner is the sweetest lady named Lucy, who mans the bar every night with the help of a few other gals and maybe Marko, if he's behaving. The jukebox rocks and it's not trying to be anything other than a place to get a good stiff drink. The decor is straight outta the 70s with no frills and no apple martinis.

I'm not officially renting out the space, so it'll be us and the regular crowd, which usually consists of a handful of drunks, the PBR drinking pool playing skaters, and an ever changing assortment of East Village characters who make their way through during the course of a night.

Depending on how many people plan on coming, I may have to change the venue to something bigger, so signup for it on FaceBook.
