BEast + Kenzo Minami There just can't be enough music this week. There's a hot underground (literally!) party that I just got an invite to that you should know about. It's called BEast and is held in the downstairs private lounge of LES vegetarian restaurant Broadway East. (B-East, get it?!) Organic cocktails will be served. This week it's being hosted by Raven with none other than hipster artist/designer Kenzo Minami on the turn tables. I just emailed Kenzo to see if he'll give us a hint on what his set will be. Stay tuned. This is what Kenzo's current thoughts on the matter are: from Chantal Goya to DMX. From Ukrainian punk band covering Sex Pistols to Late 70s' Japanese disco. Boz Scaggs Silk Degrees - Middle Man era. The Doobie Brothers. The 5th Dimension. Cameo. Steely Dan. Early E.L.O. Heavy D and the Boyz. The Birthday Party. I am going to play whatever I feel like without thinking much. I might play some carnival music by Nino Rota or even those ballad songs 80s' rock bands put on their album to sell more albums. Hot!!
