Highend DVD fashion magazine Fly has major news for the world: they're launching a new web portal -- FLY 16X9 -- where their art and fashion films can be accessed online.

"Beginning October 2008, our art and fashion films will be released and distributed digitally to our global network of subscribers. Each month our subscribers will have the unique experience of viewing these exquisite art and fashion films on the web. Each month new films will be released, and complimentary viewing links will be provided to our members. Membership is free."

Collectors need not despair: Fly will continue to produce something you can hold onto in the form of an exclusive limited edition DVD featuring a collection of original art and fashion inspired short films, interviews, documentaries and music videos.

There's a party tonight in Paris to launch Fly 16x9 featuring Absinthe and Caviar at the Hotel Marignan and 5 screens of work projected onto the Champs Elysées. Checkout the video invite here and keep your eyes on the site, which says it's currently streaming Conscious Dreams, which I'm guessing will be live after tonight's launch party.
