Boris Bidjan Saberi

After discovering the perfect t-shirt by Damir Doma at oki-ni, I was searching around for other designs and previous collections by Doma and cyber stumbled upon Komakino -- a super chic, highend online store that carries a very select handful of menswear lines like Damir Doma, Rick Owens, Raf Simons, Ann Demeulemeester, MA+, and a designer I'd not heard of named Boris Bidjan Saberi, whose line is super hot.

Check out Komakino for a complete roster of lines. It's a tightly curated range that I'm sure you'll love.

Back to the mystery man: Barcelona-based half German, half Persian designer Boris Bidjan Saberi, whose website consists of an amazing pic, two email addresses for PR and sales, and nothing else, which explains the mystery surrounding the line and the designer.

Says online fashion magazine Scoute: Until this fall, the name Boris Bidjan Saberi might have not rung a bell even among those who keep a close eye on mens fashion. His self titled label has still stayed under the mainstream radar, but among those who've come across the brand, it has generated a lot of interest and profound appreciation. Saberi has presented his collections since s/s 08 at the Barcelona fashion week, and in fall 2008 his garments started reaching stores such as L'Eclaireur in Paris and Darklands in Berlin. With an edgy and distinct style utilizing innovative materials and details, many foresee Saberi as one of the freshest young talents and possibly the next big thing in avant garde menswear. Scoute talked to the designer in Barcelona about his background and work.

They caught up with the designer for an interview, which gives insight into his background, where he finds inspiration, and his accessories line. Check it out here.

Don't forget to check out the rest of Saberi's line at Komokino, pics from the designer's showroom on Scoute, and additional images on Berlin store Darkland's website.
