I stopped by Barney's last week and checked out the 5th floor to see what new pieces from Spring/Summer collections had arrived.

While I saw a lot that I liked, I left with one thought: there are a lot of lines in the men's indie market that are really overpriced. Some of the cuts, details, and fabrics are so basic, you could easily get something similar at a more mainstream company for a fraction of the price. There were pieces from very well-respected lines, some of which look like they were made by sophmores in fashion school. I really think there's going to be a big shake down during this recession and some of these designers have to step it up or they will fall by the wayside, but I'm not here to talk about that.

What I saw that I liked: the Nike Vintage Blazer High Suede in blue, read, and green. Super hot. Check them out here on Tres Bien Shop's site.
