Animal Collective fans listen up: the band is playing Friday, 0914.09 at Prospect Park Band Shell as part of the Celebrate Brooklyn summer concert series.

As far as I can tell from their site a full listing of shows for the Celebrate Brooklyn series isn't posted yet. Unless I'm missing something, the only listings so far are the Animal Collective show and an MGMT show on 07.01.09. Check out the site for more info on the series. Make sure to check out Animal Collective's official site, where you can watch a sick video for the first single from their latest record Merriweather Post Pavilion, which I somehow missed when it dropped in January. There's just too much music out there nowadays. It's overwhelming. I also posted the video below from YouTube. The connection on their site is really choppy.

If you like Animal Collective, though, you're going to love this track. It's true to their sound, but more commercial or something, which for these guys isn't really commercial at all. I can hear a lot of Panda Bear -- one of the members of the collective -- in this track, which rocks.

Don't forget to check out their MySpace, where you can test drive several songs from previous records also, including one of my favorites Peacebone. You'll also find tour dates from now through the end of the summer. If you've never seen these guys live, just do it.
