Raf Simons + Fred Perry

Ever elusive fashion designer Raf Simons has teamed up with forever cool British label Fred Perry for what can be truly called street/fashion.

"The collection references the fit and styling of classic Fred Perry skiwear first introduced in the early 1960's. A key piece includes a turtle neck sweater with laurel on the sleeve in merino wool. All pieces are slim fit with a retro silhouette. The palette is black, highlighted with the 30 leaf Fred Perry laurel originally used in the 1960's – the laurel will be used exclusively on Fred Perry and Raf Simons collaboration pieces and each item has its own laurel colour." See the pics below. This collection will be replacing Fred Perry's seven season collaboration with Comme des Garcon that we all loved so much.

Says Simons: "“I have always had a huge respect for the Fred Perry label as it is established as an icon in their chosen field, sportswear. As I started my career in fashion focussing on youth and subcultures, Fred Perry was one of many inspirations."

I've seen the collection in person and the pieces are amazing. To be honest, the pics below don't do it justice. You've got to see them and try them on to see what the hype is all about.

I'll post an update as soon as the collection ships with info on retail points of sale.
