ERMP (East River Music Project)

One week from today is the second installment of ERMP. The lineup for the June 28th show: Titus Andronicus, Obits, Emperor X, and Blood City.

"The East River Music Project is a group of people dedicated to putting on free summer concerts of local music at the East River Amphitheater. The East River Amphitheater is part of East River Park, one of the city’s largest parks, running along the East River from 14th Street to Chinatown. The amphitheater is probably most famous for being used in the movie Wild Style, but it fell into disrepair over much of the 1980s and ’90s."

The venue rocks and it's right on the East River. I was just over there running then hanging out in the bleechers of the ampitheater. It's exactly where you want to be on a Saturday afternoon listening to cool indie bands FREE!! of charge. Shows start at 2pm.
