| Malcolm Mclaren + Creative Time Creative Time's 44 1/2 (a project where CT and MTV team up to bring art to Times Square) is back. The program, which began in 2001, is about the unleash the wrath of British sensationalist and creator of the Sex Pistols to the crossroads of the world. "Creative Time proudly announces the U.S. premiere of Malcolm McLaren's video project Shallow, airing from June 25 to mid-August on 44 1/2, MTV’s giant outdoor, gilded HD screen between 44th and 45th Streets. Presented larger than life on one of the biggest screens in Times Square, selections from Shallow will be screened at various times throughout the day." "Shallow, a series of short video works by Malcolm McLaren, consists of individual film clips, sourced from erotic films from the late 1960s, played in ultra slow motion for the duration of five minutes each. McLaren deliberately selects moments in the films immediately preceding or following sex scenes—extending a handful of frames into carefully composed and nearly still portraits of seduction and artifice."
