Stacked + Warhol Denied

Checkout Stacked, a sculpture just released by New York artist Charles Lutz.

"Stacked is the culmination of the two most recent series by Charles Lutz, Denial & Acceptance and Sold. The sculpture refers to Warhol's box sculptures of the 1960's as well as the trunks of the luxury manufacturer Louis Vuitton. Warhol’s box sculptures raised the everyday objects to the level of high art. Lutz takes the works a step further by raising them to the level of luxury, highlighting the absurdity of a Brillo, Heinz, Kellogg’s box becoming a status symbol. Stacked will be produced in a series of 7 plus one artist proof, each with it own unique color scheme and monogramming." Read all about it and see pics here

Don't forget to checkout the Warhol Denied site. It's a very interesting idea. If so mahy people tried (and some suceeded) to copy and sell Jackson Pollock's work, why hasn't anyone done it with Warhol's? Or have they?!?
