I just got word of a hot new UK band named White Lies.

"White Lies are an alternative post-punk indie band based in London. The band members consist of Harry McVeigh, Charles Cave, and Jack Lawrence-Brown. Their style has been compared to Echo & The Bunnymen and The Teardrop Explodes." Read their short but sweet Wikipedia entry here.

The band is currently signed to Interscope and are slowly but surely making their ascent from obscurity to a venue near you, including playing the mainstage at Lollapalooza on 08.03.08 and are in the middle of a string of 29 tour dates, including a stop at Mercury Lounge (New York) on 08.05.08.
