| PUMA + I-Cycle Getting a bike changed my New York life. Getting around downtown with a bike is so much easier and quicker than walking or using public transportation. I think everyone should have one. If you all only knew. In an effort to promote bike culture (and its killer custom bikes, I'm sure), PUMA has teamed up with New York film production company Cinecycle for a special online film project called I-Cycle. "Featuring today's trailblazers of the two-wheeled community, this film series talks about the importance of biking and the impact this simple activity has on the world we live in. For the production of these films, we followed guys who look at their bikes as more than just a mode of transportation." Read all about it and checkout the films on their site. (It's a Flash site, so I can't direct link to specific pages.) You'll find films about: Matthew McGuinness, a cofounder of The 62, a Brooklyn-based art collective who started Re-Bicycle; George Bliss, the man behind New York’s Pedi-cabs; Brendt Barbur, founder of The Bicycle Film Festival, Matthew Modine, actor and founder of Bicycle-For-A-Day, an ongoing initiative to encourage and inspire individuals to leave their cars in the garage and reduce their carbon footprints on the world; and, Antonio Bertone, PUMA’s CMO and one of the main reasons for PUMA’s presence in the bicycle world. And do yourself a favor: get a bike. It makes life so much easier. |
