The LA-based designers of high-end, sporty sneakers has been forging ahead for a few years now and, from the looks of things, they've managed to make a name for themselves, producing men's, women's, and kid's lines, as well as well as exclusive styles for Barneys. What's next? The Collection - Made in Italy which launched this spring.

With the launch of The Collection- Made In Italy, Creative Recreation present its first foray into high-end, super premium footwear made from the finest Italian materials.

Rich Cofinco and Robert Nand, the designers behind Creative Recreation and The Collection, were inspired in part by their love of travel and respect for Italian heritage, culture and passion, but also by their current mindset.

While spending time walking the streets of Italy and immersing themselves amongst the Italian people, Rich and Rob quickly found that creating the ultimate, luxury footwear was not only their passion, but also the passion of the Italian craftsmen.

Thus The Collection was born -- a luxurious line that adheres to the "sneaker" feel the company is well known for, but that also incorporates a sophisticated, tailored twist. Styles include bold colors and unique detail from the hand stitching, hidden laces, to the rich crinkled and suede leathers.

The Collection can be found in select high-end U.S. boutiques, such as Barneys NY and Steven Alan, as well as in select oversees retailers including Apropos, Pool and Petra Teufel in Germany, and Liberty, Harvey Nichols, and Browns in the UK, and, let's not forget, my current favorite oki-ni.
