Heads up video artistes! BUTT Magazine wants you -- well your videos, at least.

As part of BUTT Magazine’s NYC pre-pride celebration we will be presenting a show of homosexually themed video art, at Terence Koh’s gallery Asia Song Society (ASS). We would like to announce an open call to our readers to submit work for consideration. The selection of the videos will be made according to BUTT’s standard submission guidelines: please send us work that is fun, sexy, provocative, charming, kinky, smart, thoughtful, unique, visually dazzling or any combination of these qualities.

Please send us work now until May 20. The show opens the day after BANG. Videos should be no longer then 20 minutes.

So I just emailed BUTT asking "Am I missing something? What's BANG?" Then, being the sleuth that I am, I checked out their site and lo and behold: BANG!

BUTT is excited to present BANG, a pre-gay pride concert on June 19, 2009, featuring three amazing new acts: goth-juke band SALEM from Chicago, garage punk band Hunx and his Punx from San Francisco, and New Orleans bounce rapper Sissy Nobby. BANG will take place at the Knitting Factory in New York City.

Did someone say SALEM? I'm so there. Get tickets now as they will sell out.
