British pop artist Stuart Semple has a show coming up at Anna Kustera entitled Everlasting Nothing Less -- his first solo show in New York and in the US -- that features pieces from his latest body of work. The show opens on 05.16 and runs through 06.20.09. I'll post more about the show closer to the opening date when I have more details.

Before the works make the trip to New York, though, Semple is hosting a one night only private preview for a select group of press, collectors, and artworld officiandos at a top secret London location. It's so secret, he won't even tell me where it is. While he wants to make sure the right people in his hometown get to see the show, he also wants to ensure that for the general population, the work isn't seen until opening night in New York.

If you're invited you'd know by now. If not, hopefully you'll be in New York while the show is up. I've seen a sneak peek of the work and it's really good. Much darker than his previous work, but equally as good, if not better than what you've seen from Semple in the past.
