Daily Desire: Adidas Stan Smith + ARC

I don't know about you, but one of my favorite pair of sneakers ever was the pair of Stan Smiths I had in highschool. Or was it college? I'd have to say that if you've never owned a pair of Stan Smiths, it'd be really hard for us to be friends. I'd go as far as saying Stan Smiths are more American than apple pie.

As we know with lots of classics, redoing them can be disasterous. Think about all the Hollywood movies that have been ruined recently in an attempt to cash in on something that should have never been touched. I must admit of all the iconic clothing items in the world, it'd never occurred to me that anyone would try to remake Stan Smiths.

So just exactly how do you redo the simple perfection of a white leather low top sneaker with a hint of green trim? Just ask ARC (Alife Rivington Club). As always, the best redos are simple twists: instead of leather, they use canvas. Instead of white, they use off white. Genius.

The Alife Rivington Club offers the first wave of the Adidas 3 Way Consortium. The A.R.C Stan Smith 80s brings two originals together to create a unique and timeless version of a sneaker staple. Utilizing the Stan Smith's clean, functional lines while renewing tradition with an off white canvas upper.

Available on ARC's site and at Wood Wood.
