Palais de Tokyo in Paris is showing a super obscure Bowie documentary from the 70's called Cracked Actor.

"Cracked Actor is a 53-minute-long BBC television documentary film about the pop star David Bowie. It was filmed in 1974, at a time when Bowie was a popular and commercial success. He had also become addicted to drugs, including cocaine, and the documentary has become notorious for showing Bowie's fragile mental state during this period. It was made by Alan Yentob for the BBC's Omnibus documentary strand, and was first shown, on BBC2 in the UK, on January 26, 1975."

Perhaps this showing at Palais de Tokyo will spark the BBC to release a version for wider distribution.

David Bowie: Yeah, it was... really it was his own personality being unable to cope with the circumstances he found himself in which is being an almighty prophet-like superstar rocker who found he didn't know what to do with it once he got it. Which is… it's an archetype really, it's the definitive rock 'n' roll star. It often happens and I was just trying to document it as such.
