MoMA + The New York Film Critics Circle

Film buffs listen up. MoMA is presenting a series of films in association with The New York Film Critics Circle that you won't want to miss.

The New York Film Critics Circle (NYFCC), the nation's oldest and most prestigious association of film critics, turned seventy-five this year. From the beginning, the Circle has given annual awards to the "best" films in various categories that have opened in New York.

To mark the Circle's milestone anniversary, the Department of Film asked each of the current twenty-seven members to choose one notable film from MoMA's collection that was a recipient of a NYFCC year-end award. Some screenings are introduced by the contributing film critics.

Included in the linup: Umberto D, La Dolce Vita, Spellbound, The Lion In Winter, Wild Reeds, Goodfellas, and more.

Click here for the full list of dates and time of the screenings. Some of the films are being screened on more than one day, fyi. The screenings have already begun and run through the end of the summer.
