| Fly16x9 + Prada Avid readers of this.hearts.on.fire. will know how much I love what used to be a DVD fashion magazine named FLY. If you read my post on 10.03.08, you'll know that FLY is still in the game, but is no longer a DVD only fashion publication. FLY has morphed into FLY16x9, a full-blown, online media channel providing original editorial content in the form of moving fashion films! Sick. Unveiled October 3 2008, with a soft launch during Paris Fashion Week at the Hotel Marignan, FLY16X9 opened with the enigmatic Shadow, a Louis Vuitton film directed by Danish filmmaker Noam Greigst. Check it out here. FLY16X9 has given FLY the ability to distribute original content each month to it's global network of subscribers. FLY16X9 delivers an enhanced web presence optimized for direct distribution of high-resolution art and fashion films to computers, iPhones and other video-enabled PDA's portable music players, and the upcoming generation of web-enabled televisions. Just launched this past Wednesday December 10th: co-founder Stephen Blaise's film My World exclusively featuring the designs of Prada. Check the film out here and don't forget to check out stills from it below and here. The editors of FLY16x9 have a mission: take the world -- online and off -- by storm, and they're doing just that. My World was recently exhibited with corresponding prints at the Foam Museum in Amsterdam. Watch out: they'll soon be coming to a city near you. In the meantime, check out Tea A Tete, featuring the designs of Thom Browne and Audition featuring pieces from Givenchy. This one is my favorite. Enjoy!
