| Terence Koh + Salvador Cidrás @ MUSAC Thanks to Cokespoon 03 winner Tolo Cañellas, I found out about a really cool museum in España called MUSAC (Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Castilla y León). "Designed by the architectural team of Mansilla & Tuñón, MUSAC opened its doors in April 2005 and has just received an important recognition - in fact, New York's MOMA has selected MUSAC for its exhibition On-Site. New Architecture in Spain (2006) and The New York Times has recommended it as one of the most important recent buildings in Spain." Checkout a pic of the building here. Looks super hot and, unlike my favorite Palais de Tokyo in Paris, they translate their entire website into English so all we English speakers can get it on the good stuff! Two shows of note coming up: 24 horas 10 minutos by Salvador Cidrá (see pic below) and Love for eternity by Terence Koh both opening 09.27.08 and running through 01.11.09. 24 horas 10 minutos is a "large site-specific installation of new works conceived and executed by artist Salvador Cidrás and produced by MUSAC. In 24 horas 10 minutos, Cidrás inquires into youth as a value, placing special emphasis on the world of adolescent males and the symbolic relationships they develop in their everyday environments." Click here for more info. In Love for eternity, Koh offers us "a foray into the unique creative universe of Chinese-Canadian artist Terence Koh, where cultures and identities blend with influences from post-minimalism and 1970s body art to create a personal cosmos governed by decadence and deliberate excess, providing the onlooker moments of fragile beauty."
