Mihara Yasuhiro Fall/Winter 2011By Editor in Fashion on January 24th, 2011 | Please Comment !! »
We just took a close look at Japanese menswear designer Mihara Yasuhiro‘s collection for Fall/Winter 2011 and we want 1 of everything.
It’s hard describe the look: he’s taken the classic English school boy look and redone it so it retains the overall essence, but almost every detail is changed in a way that gives new life to this overdone style.
The down vest piece that has the body and shape of a down vest, but the “fabric” on the outside is a cable knit. Genius! The duffle coat with one side twice as wide as the other. Genius. His beige pajama bottom type pants paired with a camel leather vest under a very classic camel fitted wool jacket? Genius! The black and blue plaid wool suit jacket that has the look and feel of a ski jacket? Genius. We could go on and on.
