Another collection with some amazing jackets: a more varied lot of styles of jackets than most of the other designers also, which is good to see. Junya Watanabe‘s menswear collection for Fall/Winter 2011 is hot hot hot.
Our favorites: his black leather jackets, the suit jackets that look like tailored, fitted Fair Isle sweaters, and the classic fitted coats made from fabrics that make them look more hobo than high end. There are a few jackets whose style we think is amazing, but is ruined by bad fabrics and colors: the hooded pullover/windbreakers made using a wool that you’d see on a pea coat. The combination of elements gives them a cool, sporty look unlike any we’ve seen thus far.
