Check out the Fall/Winter 2010 collection by the Burkman bros.
Burkman bros Fall 2010 channels the distinctive cool of this former colonial outpost through dobby textured outerwear, ikat prints, Himalayan-inspired graphics and a strong collection of masculine pants with the subtlest reference to hiking aesthetics. Foreign Fairisle and fine gauge merino wool sweaters together with comfortable jersey lined check shirts, all with the lightest touch of local inspiration, let you layer up without the usual boxy shapes. And as always, the patterns are unique to Burkman bros – designed by them and woven especially for them – you will not find them anywhere else.
Read more about the line on their site, where you’ll find images of past collections, as well. We just got word that BB has not only opened a shop in shop at Ron Herman in LA, but just opened a minishop in the Odin at 199 Lafayette in New York.

Fall/Winter 2010, Japan, menswear, Ouret
Check out the Fall/Winter 2010 line from yet another Japanese menswear — Ouret. We don’t know too much about them and their site’s in Japanese. We got images of the collection, though, that we think are pretty hot.
We’ll let you decide after looking at the images below. We would give our left pinkie for one of the grey tweed jackets shown above left! For more information, check out Ouret’s site.

Arcade Fire, The Wilderness Downtown
Not only does Arcade Fire have a new hit record out, but they’ve teamed up with Google in a super geeky way to show just what can be done with HTML5. Not surprisingly, the video/movie called The Wilderness Downtown by Chris Milk featuring the track We Used To Wait is super cool.
This is what they say on the site: A postcard is created by an analog signal: you. This site takes that postcard and converts it to digital. The Wilderness Machine brings it back to analog. Look for it on tour with the band in North America. If you’re lucky enough to get someone’s postcard from it, plant it. A tree will grow out of it. We’re not quite sure what that means, but that’s cool.
Check out the video for yourself here. It’s awesome.
