Tribeca Treats/Ellsworth Kelly @ MoMA

1. We're huge fans of the chipwich. In case you're unfamiliar, it's a variation of an ice cream sandwich made with chocolate chip cookies on the outside. A variation of which can be found at Tribeca Treats, featuring two homemade cookies (sugar or cocoa cookies not chocolate chip) with Ronnybrook Farm ice cream in between coated with sprinkles. You'd better hurry though: today's the last day they're available until next spring! Don't forget to checkout the #1 homemade monster chipwich in the world at Mudd in the East Village. It's a sight to behold.

2. MoMA currently has a show up featuring one of our favorite artists: Ellsworth Kelly. "This single-gallery installation is devoted to thirteen paintings and drawings by Ellsworth Kelly. Three of the paintings are on view for the first time and are recent acquisitions: Relief with Blue (1950); Dominican (1952); and Two Whites (1959). Over the past five decades, Kelly has redefined abstraction by examining the shapes and colors found in natural and man-made forms, producing a visually and philosophically sophisticated body of work." The show is up now through 01.07.08. See here for more details and here for pics of works being shown. Don't forget this bio of the artist on the Guggenheim's site. If you're an Ellsworth Kelly fan, this one's not to be missed.

Supreme + Murakami

1. Japanese artist/collaborator extraordinaire-Takashi Murakami-has teamed up with New York streetwear/skater store Supreme on a series of limited edition skateboard decks designed by artists Takashi Murakami and Mr. (Murakami's long time assitant). The series will consist of three decks designed by each artist. They will be available exclusively through the six Supreme stores (New York, Los Angeles and four locations throughout Japan) and selected retail accounts. They will also be available via Supreme's new online shop (US Only). Get 'em while they're hot. These collectors items are sure to sell out super fast. Remember these a few months back? Supreme also teamed up with New York pop artist Jeff Koons on a series of decks that sold out so fast not even Koons could get his hands on a set!! Rumor has it he had to buy a set for himself at three times the price off eBay.

Arcade Fire @ Randall's Island/LCD Soundsytem Covers No Love Lost/Ju$t Another Rich Kid + Joy Division/Navy Barracks Swastika

1. They're baaaaaaaaaaack. Arcade Fire plays New York City one more time. We just can't get enough of these guys. This time up: Arcade Fire, LCD Soundsystem, Blonde Redhead, Les Savy Fav, and Wild Light. It's all very cryptic, though. There are posters downstairs from my building, but when I Google it, I can't find an official site, just lots of listings for tickets (scalped b/c they're sold out, of course). There is a listing on Last.fm, though. No matter what, it looks to be a killer show. I'm going to try to get my hands on some tickets today!

2. There's also word that LCD Soundsytem and Arcade Fire are pairing up to produce a limited edition split 7" single featuring LCD Soundsystem's cover of Joy Division's No Love Lost (one of the hottest songs EVER) and Arcade Fire's cover of Serge Gainsbourg's Poupee de Cire. The single will be available exclusively on the tour dates and through the bands' websites.

3. Checkout the homepage of Ju$t Another Rich Kid's site, which currently features the latest in the Blood Simple series of work featuring Joy Division's Ian Curtis splattered with blood. Ju$t Another Rich Kid also did a No Love Lost tee a few seasons back and currently has a limited edition Love Will Tear Us Apart tee for sale on their site.

4. I just have to put this in. It's too much. CNN is reporting that Google Earth has revealed through photos something that NOBODY noticed before now?!? A navy barracks in California built in the 60's when viewed from above is a f#*cking swastika. Were there no blue prints?!? See for yourself. I'm definitely not down with swastikas, but I am very visual person and I must say that geometrically, the building is kinda hot.

ASS Opening 4 Matthew Stone/Kurt Cobain's About A Son

1. Familiar with ASS? It's the Asia Song Society, one of artist Terrence Koh's side projects. He acts as gallerist/curator and presents other artists' work. This time up: London's Matthew Stone. "Stone's emphasis on explorative communal ritual, on the revolutionary potential of participation that reacts and questions its own meaning, definitely points to the art of tomorrow I think, an immaterial quality equal parts idealist belief and cynicism, working as an alternative, very palpable reality running along the rest of society." The opening party last night was perfect: just the right amount of people with just the right amount of free beer. We didn't mingle much, though, as we were sitting in the basement on a couch talking to the ever gorgeous and insightfully entertaining Sofia Lamar. We did make sure to see the art, though, and take our word for it: it's hot. And don't forget this page on Saatchi's website of Koh's work.

2. Checkout Kurt Cobain: About A Son. It's an "intimate and moving meditation on the late musician and artist Kurt Cobain, based on more than 25 hours of previously unheard audiotaped interviews conducted with Cobain by noted music journalist Michael Azerrad for his book Come As You Are: The Story of Nirvana. In the film, Kurt Cobain recounts his own life - from his childhood and adolescence to his days of musical discovery and later dealings with explosive fame - and offers often piercing insights into his life, music, and times. The conversations heard in the film have never before been made public and they reveal a highly personal portrait of an artist much discussed but not particularly well understood." There's a list of screening dates for cities around the US on the MySpace page, as well as much more information. The film will be screened in New York at the ICF on 10.03.07.

Earnest Sewn On The LES/Secret Handshake

1. Uber hip New York denim purveyors Earnest Sewn threw a jam-packed opening party this past Thursday to celebrate their new LES store (90 Orchard Street). The latest shop is in addition to the label's first concept store An Earnest Cut & Sew, which opened its doors in the Meatpacking District @ 821 Washington Street in 2005. Earnest Sewn company philosophy is "focused on paying homage to our Americana past while mixing, for perhaps the first time, traditional denim workwear with a Westernized version of the ancient Japanese style aesthetic, Wabi-Sabi." The interior aesthetic of both shops is reminiscent of a general store and is done to the nines. Also found in the stores: Bell & Ross watches; Holland & Holland accessories; and Black Sheep and Prodigal Sons jewelery. Stop by and have a look.

2. You've gotta check this guy out: The Secret Handshake. Fred Perry and Club NME threw a party for the band Thursday at The Annex featuring the singer/song writer who put on an amazing show. Checkout his MySpace to test drive some songs and the video for Summer Of '98 on MTV.com. If you like what you hear, checkout his tour dates and pre order his latest EP One Full Year, which is out 09.25.07, on SmartPunk.com.

SpankRock @ Mac Store

1. What to do on a Friday night?? Suggests Freenyc.net: "Spank Rock close out Apple's midnight DJ series tonight with their unique style of grimey, jump up raver-hop. Baltimore-bred Spank Rock are relative newcomers, but the success of their 2006 debut album YoYoYoYoYo is undeniable. In the past year, they’ve brought their bouncy sound to remixes of Björk, Lady Sovereign, and more, but it’s the incredible energy of their live shows that’s not to be missed. We'll see how live they get at the instore but at least you can use the new iPhone's to show your friends what they are missing. All Ages." And you know how much we love Spank Rock. Check it out. superfuture guides/Planet Unicorn Heyyyyyy/Kitsuné Maison

1. Everyone's favorite online "What's Cool" site superfuture has just released the latest in its series of City Guides: Paris. "Paris is changing weekly and that is why we decided to produce a series of downloadable PDF city superguides that are as up to date as we can make them, with the right amount of necessary information in the most convenient format." Unlike their more traditional counterparts, don't expect to find directions to Ground Zero or what's the best time to get a ferry to Libery Island. superfuture is all about letting you in on the most up-to-date info on the hip shops, restaurants, bars, galleries, hotels, and anything else that appeals to their super cool demographic. If you're not already familiar with them, checkout their site to get an idea of what they're all about. Also available, guides for New York, Tokyo, and Shanghai.

2. A reader sent us a link to the most hysterical video series called Panet Unicorn, which has 5 episodes featured on Channel 101--the unavoidable future of entertainment. "Mike Rose and Tyler Spiers, the masterminds behind Channel 101's longest running series (Classroom), claimed themselves another slot in Prime Time with a world imagined into existence by an eight-year old gay boy named Shannon." Shannon's wish: his very own planet, which happens to be inhabited by three gay unicorns: Cadillac (who sounds like Wilmer Valderrama as Fez on That '70s Show), Tom Cruise, and Feathers. There's not much need for more explanation: just watch it. You'll know why we're obsessed.

3. Super hot French collaborative Kitsuné has a popup shop in Italy. "go gallery kicks back in the new season with a special one-of-a-kind collaboration with Kitsuné, hosting the first Kitsuné Temporary Shop Boutique Kitsuné Maison in Europe for a month only, from the 21st September until the 20th October. Boutique Kitsuné Maison is an international project which will tour around various cities worldwide, identifying the most interesting and avant-garde collective of individuals, to then collaborate on setting up a temporary shop and a series of events around it." Control Update

1. We can't stop talking about the soon-to-be-released Ian Curtis biopic Control. "Directed by acclaimed music photographer Anton Corbijn and based on Deborah Curtis' Touching From A Distance, Control is the story of the late Joy Division singer Ian Curtis' life, from the bands rise to fame to his tragic suicide." The film starring Samantha Morton and Sam Riley hits theaters on 10.05.07, but so far only in the UK. Fandango lists the opening date of 10.10.07, which I'm hoping is the US release date. Make sure to checkout the site, which has just been updated, for the trailer, info on cast and crew, and to test drive tracks from the soundtrack, which includes exclusive cuts from New Order, David Bowie, The Velvet Underground, The Buzzcocks, The Sex Pistols, Iggy Pop, Roxy Music, and, of course, Joy Division. Devendra Banhart's Latest/Trash & Vaudeville/Fake Plastic Love @ Frieze

1. Guess who's new EP is available to stream on MySpace? Everyone's favorite hippie: Devandra Banhart. "Devendra Banhart's latest release, Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon, was recorded at home in Topanga, CA and is an epic journey through Brazilian tropicalia, folk and straight-up rock. Listen to the whole album right now before it hits stores 9/25." Don't forget his Wikipedia entry and this profile page on Young God Records. And what's this about Banhart and Janet Reno collaborating on an EP entitled Song of America? I think she picked the songs and he picked the indie artists to perform them. I really can't wrap my head around this one.

2. It's a New York landmark: Trash & Vaudeville. Although I walk by it every day, it's been years since I've stopped in. While most of the clothes aren't really my style, there are definitely pieces that anyone could use in their wardrobe to give a little flair. They have a killer selection of skinny men's ties that rock that you're certain not to see on anyone else, until word gets out. It's also the first place I've gotten up close and personal with Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B. line. I hate to admit it, but some of the pieces are really hot. "This East Village mainstay has been around since punk first reared its alienated, hung over head. Back in the early days, when St. Marks Place was rock music's gritty main drag, the two-floor costume emporium outfitted icons like Debbie Harry and the Ramones for their gigs at CBGB's just a few blocks away." Checkout this review of the store on New York Magazine's site and this interview with long time store manager and buyer Jimmy Webb, who was named Best Original Punk Rocker by the Village Voice in 2006. Stop in. Buy something, because if you don't, before you know it, there'll be a Chase Bank or Starbucks in its place, which would be really depressing.

2. One of our favorite artists--London's Stuart Semple--is on the verge of mounting his most ambitious show yet: Fake Plastic Love, which will be shown in 2 parts during the Frieze Art Fair in London (Oct 11 - 14th). "By far the most ambitious project to date. Nine (9) gigantic paintings will dominate the 8000 sq foot Truman Brewery in Brick Lane. A series of smaller drawings and canvases will be on show at Martin Summers Fine Art in Chelsea at the same time." Don't forget to checkout Semple's updated website, his entry on Wikipedia, and pics of his work on ArtNet.

Socialista: Don't Do It & Top 10 Restaurant List

As all our faithful readers know, we rarely post negative items, preferring to leave that task up to others. In certain instances, though, we feel compelled to speak, so you can learn from our experiences.

Case in point: my b-day dinner last night at much-hyped Socialista.

I emailed several days in advance to get a reservation for Friday at 8:30pm, only to be told there were "no tables available". It was suggested, though, that we come and try to get a table anyway, as a portion of the 20 or so tables are reserved for walk-ins.

We rushed to the restaurant at 7:30pm, to be greeted by a sight to behold: the most empty tables I've ever seen in a much-hyped restaurant on a Friday night in New York. All but one of the tables were as empty as any table could be.

We were politey told all of the tables were reserved, but we could have one of the lovely tables outside teetering next to 6 lanes of Westside Highway traffic. Being easy-going, we agreed to sit outside. Our mission: to have a great time with friends on a special night, not to argue with the staff.

By the time we left at 9:30pm, 80% of the tables inside were still empty and had not been occupied for the duration of our meal. It seems the cachet of having "no tables available" is more important to the owners than catering to their diners.

You have to agree: something's definitely wrong when I can get a reservation or walk-in table at the Waverly Inn--where there are actually people dining--easier than I can at an empty restaurant under an SRO next to the Westside Highway.

Maybe next time, we'll ask if we can get takeout and sit on the curb to avoid having to tip. We were practically sitting on the curb anyway.

Oh wait, there won't be a next time. We'll be eating better food at a cooler retaurant that's not so far off the beaten path. And hopefully at a restaurant with other people to look at instead of empty tables.

Here's a list of places you may find us instead:

1) Lil Frankies
2) Sapporo East
3) Waverly Inn
4) Momofuku
5) The Spotted Pig
6) Marlowe & Sons
7) The Little Owl
8) Cafe Cortadito

10) Cookshop

Richard Prince/Fred Perry Classics & Subculture

1. One of my favorite artists--Richard Prince--has a show up at the Guggenheim now through 01.29.07 called Spiritual America. "This critical overview of Richard Prince's career is the most comprehensive examination of the celebrated American artist's work to date. The exhibition highlights Prince's contributions to the development of contemporary art, bringing together key examples of his photographs, paintings, sculptures, and works on paper in an installation that integrates the various series comprising his oeuvre." Checkout the Guggenheim's site for more info on the exhibit and special events. Don't forget his Wikipedia entry and this Q&A with the artists in New York Magazine.

2. We've always loved Fred Perry. Well except for that minute when the polo shirts got really mainstream several years back. Luckily, though, the brand has been very aggressive in keeping their edge. Case in point: Fred Perry's limited edition series Laurel Classics. "Fred Perry is the only clothing brand that has retained and developed its unique roots in music. For the last 50 years the brand has been adopted by all the major UK subcultures from the early mods in the late 50's through the recent rise of indie guitar music." The Laurel Classics series is a reflection of this trend. And don't forget the newest addition to the brand: Fred Perry Subculture. "Subculture is FP's new music initiative bringing you the brightest young talent on the on the British underground scene." Have a look at their MySpace for more info on the bands, events, and, of course, tracks to listen to.

1. Super hot Munich shop POOL (Maximilianstr. 11, 80539 München. Telefon +49.89.266 035) now has an online shop selling an amazing selection of men's and womenswear 24 hours a day/7 days a week!! Check it out. Lines you'll find: Acne Jeans, Alexander McQueen, Dries van Noten, Dsquared2, Maison Martin Margiela, Puma McQueen, Rick Owens, Viktor & Rolf, and Y3.

2. "Haunch of Venison will open its major new Berlin space with a unique performance, presented by Jamie Shovlin, of the legendary German band Lustfaust and Berlin-based Schneider TM. The opening event follows Shovlin’s presentation at the ICA London in 2005 of Lustfaust: A Folk Anthology 1976-1981, an elaborate archive of fan memorabilia documenting the activities of Lustfaust in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The archive contains cassette covers and posters made by the band’s supporters; fan reminiscences; a film-led interview with one of the band members, and samples of Lustfaust's music. The event on 13 September will allow Lustfaust to perform as never before, and will be broadcast live on this website to ensure that it can be enjoyed by Lustfaust fans the world over." Hot Hot Heat/LeShop & PUB

1. Check it out: they're hot hot hot. On September 11, 2007, Canada's Hot Hot Heat released their latest EP entitled Happiness LTD. And don't forget their bio, this page of videos, and this one of MP3's on their official website, as well as their Wikipedia entry.

2. Super chic Stockholm store Le Shop has some BIG news. Fly's Latest Issue/White Magic/Remember 9.11

1. Checkout Audition directed by Steven Blaise: the trailer for FLY's upcoming issue What A World, What A World. It's so hot. In case you're unfamiliar with the magazine, "FLY DVD is a magazine that is not a magazine. FLY is the first fashion and art 'moving-magazine' that creates an engaging and interactive multi-sensory experience.." Don't forget to checkout their site and this press release for the issue. Included in it are: Shirin Neshat, Alex Cayley, Debbie Harry, Julia Restoin Roitfeld, Missy Rayder, and Natasa V. Music has been provided by Modular Recordings & Warp Records, featuring The Presets, New Young Pony Club, Tiger Sushi and Sir Alice.

2. Have you heard White Magic? Mark my words: you will be hearing a lot about them in the months to come. They're on the verge of blowing up. Checkout their MySpace to sample a few tracks. Their Wikipedia entry for more info on the band. This link to a video of a live 2003 performance from the Knitting Factory. And this page on United Bamboo's site, where White Magic's track One Note is included on a compilation called They Keep Me Smiling curated by Hisham Bharoocha.

3. Despite all the media hype that's surrounded 9/11 from the beginning, take a minute to remember those who died 6 years ago today. Many families, friends, partners, etc. are without people they love as a result of the attack. Our thoughts are with you.

Verso

1. Checkout Verso! Not only does it have one of the sexiest websites I've been to in a long time, it's also an architectural site to behold. Says superfuture about Antwerp's hottest shop: "The owners changed this old bank building in one of the most beautiful shops in the world. Very large with an intimate bar/restaurant". Read the full review here. According to the store's site: "Verso is located in the centre of Antwerp and was created out of the union of two aristocratic palaces of the 16th century." Lines you'll find: Dior, Galliano, YSL, Versace, Valentino, Armani, Cavalli, and many more. In addition to the shop, there's also an amazingly chic martini bar. Go to the site to see pics. The interior is drop dead gorgeous. My favorite part of the site: the mezmerizing electro remake of Kylie Minogue's Slow. I have no clue who it's by and can't seem to figure it out. The Hours @ Prada (SoHo)

Every fashion week comes with loads of invites: for shows, pre parties, after parties, PR parties, etc. Despite all the invites, I only hit a handful of events and always make sure to choose very wisely.

Case in point: The Hours performance last night at the Prada Store in SoHo. Even though it's not over yet, I guarantee it will end up being the best party this fashion week.

With more than a dozen clipboard-wielding staff out front managing the throngs of people trying to get inside, it was a sight to behold. The entire store was transformed: a mile-wide bar up top lined with drop-dead gorgeous bartenders, a stage and seating down in the pit (Rem Koolhaas must have had this in mind when he designed to the store. It just worked too perfectly.) and artwork by Damien Hirst all over: wallpaper, digitally projected imagery, replicas of his diamond-encrusted skull and sculptures perched on pedestals.

The crowd was a perfect mix of well-heeled models, artists, rock stars, celebrities, hipsters, stylists, editors, and one photographer for every 10 people. Not too indie, not too stuffy and with a big fat budget: it was just right.

Those in attendance: Jeremy Piven, the Olsen Twins, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Nicki Sixx, Diane Kruger, Joshua Jackson, and Tracee Ellis Ross (I hear she's on this show Girlfriends, not that I've ever watched it myself!), among others. Checkout the writeup and pics on Fashion Week Daily's site.

Checkout The Hours MySpace to listen a few of their tracks, the artwork done for them by Hirst, tour dates, etc. Given their performance last night, I have a feeling we're going to be seeing and hearing a lot more from them in the near future. Mark my words.

Astroland or Pink Flamingos/BrandonHermanLand

1. Word on the street: this is the last weekend ever for Coney Island's Astroland. This is partially unfounded. According to their site: "We hope to see you next season, although plans remain uncertain." There's a chance for one more year, but nobody knows for sure. If you want to make sure to get one last ride in, do it this weekend. One thing is certain: it's supposed to be 86F this weekend and as we all know there aren't many place to hide from the sun in Coney Island. Instead, I'm going to hit the air conditioned MOMA theater @ 6pm Saturday for a screening of John Water's classic Pink Flamingos. I'd rather watch Divine eat shit while drinking a Diet Coke than fight the crowds that will most certainly be at Astroland. Don't forget to checkout the Wikipedia entries for Waters and Pink Flamingos, and this Divine fan site. And please go to this site and this one to sign petitions to keep Astroland around for at least another year so I can take one last Cyclone ride next spring!!

2. Nudity's a little like celebrity: whether the person's super famous or just some girl from a reality tv show, you just have to take a peek. Given that nudity and semi nudity are Nerve blogger Brandon Herman's forte, you'll, of course, want to have a look at his body of work. And if you're in LA tomorrow evening, the opening reception for his show BrandonHermanLand takes place at the David Gallery (5797 Washington Blvd, Culver City) from 6-8pm. Hipster Olympics

1. For all of you outside of New York, watch and learn. For all of you in New York, watch and try not to fall off your chair. Presenting: The Hipster Olympics. A mock video parody of our beloved Williamsburg style icons. Given the video opens with a street sign of Bedford and North 6th, though, I'm guessing this might be slightly outdated. Currently at that location, you'll find bankers and the girls who love them. And everyone knows anyone who can afford a $1.1 million condo doesn't have any time to hangout and posture on low rider bikes during the daylight hours. Last time I checked, the hipsters have been pushed way way back into Bushwick. Nonetheless, I'm dying laughing and think you will have the same reaction.

Justice/Geoffrey Kern @ BBlessing/Deitch

1. Hopefully by now, you've heard D.A.N.C.E. by France's Justice and seen the video featuring the super stylie Ed Banger tees. It's so hot. Checkout their Wikipedia page and this page on YouTube, where someone has posted a few of their songs and videos. I just bought the entire EP on iTunes and it's pretty amazing. Now that I'm not using peer-to-peer to download music (the viruses were insane!), I'm not as up-to-date on things as I was when the songs were free. If you like the songs on YouTube, do yourself a favor and get the whole EP! Don't forget to checkout Ed Banger Records MySpace page to test drive some of their other artists' songs.

2. LES hot spot BBlessing opens Talisman, new work by Geoffrey Kern, Thursday from 8-11pm. Email rsvp@bblessing.com to get on the list.

3. Downtown art institution Deitch Projects opens Mail Order Monsters Thursday 09.06.07 from 6-9pm at the Grand Street (76 Grand Street) gallery. Says Deitch: "Deitch Projects presents a group exhibition curated by Kathy Grayson exploring new trends in fucked-up figuration. Every generation has its unique take on the figure and the most exciting new art seems to portray the figure as broken, decaying, fractured, and monstrous! Each artist in this exhibition exemplifies this pervasive tendency in a unique way." Artists included in the show: Francine Spiegel, Dennis Tyfus, Takeshi Murata, Eddie Martinez, and Joe Grillo. Don't miss it.

AnOther Mag Facelift

1. Our friends at one of our favorite fashion and lifestyle magazines, AnOther, wanted us to tip you off on their recent facelift. From the sneak peak we've seen of Issue 13--on newsstands 09.13.07--things looks amazing! What's in the issue: America’s most enigmatic actress Julianne Moore talks about her new film Savage Grace and the power of magical thinking. Photographed exclusively for AnOther Magazine by Inez Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. 13 actresses, featuring Rachel Weisz, Kathleen Turner, Thandie Newton and Chloe Sevigny style themselves in a powerful role-reversing portfolio. The new wave of performance musicians, tearing up dance floors with inspirational style, come to London to be photographed exclusively by Davis Sims. And much more. Check it out!!

Hustle & Flow/Invasion/Target $4 Rx

1. One thing I love about Netflix is the element of surprise. You put a bunch of movies in your queue and they arrive one after another. My queue is quite long with over 200 films. If I put something on today and don't bump it up to the front, it could take months to arrive, depending. One such surprise I just got: Craig Brewer's highly-acclaimed 2005 film Hustle & Flow. Terrence Howard "turns in a true star performance in director Craig Brewer's indie drama. DJay (Howard) is a pimp with aspirations of grandeur -- he wants to make it as a rapper -- but he soon discovers that fame isn't all it's cracked up to be. Offering strong characters and notes of sweet romance amid the urban beats of its central plot, this 2005 Sundance Audience Award-winner was produced by John Singleton." Checkout the official site, the trailer, and reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. It's one of the best films I've seen in a long time.

2. This is kind of a public service announcement too: do yourself a huge favor and don't go see Nicole Kidman's new movie The Invasion. I've actually never seen a movie on Rotten Tomatoes that's only gotten a 20% favorable rating. "Slickly made, but it lacks psychological insight and thrills." And that's an uderstatement. At one point in the film, Kidman's characted says, "I'm worried I'm going to fall asleep." That's when I leaned over to my friend and said "So am I." And did for 30 minutes or so. Rent Invasion Of The Body Snatchers instead, unless you're doing research to see how amazing Botox and fillers can make you look at 40.

3. It's time for another public service announcement. I'm not a huge fan of corporations, but every once in a while all the b/s that comes out of their mouths about helping the community and giving back actually translates into something real. Following Wal-Mart's lead, Target has a program called Target Pharmacy $4 Program. Like a lot of freelancers and creatives, I don't have health insurance. Having to fill a perscription--even if it only happens once every few years--can be costly without the luxury of a low fixed rate that comes with insurance. Please note: the $4 price pertains to a very specific list of generic drugs. Check this PDF for Target's coverage and this one for Wal-Mart.
