After getting over my disdain for all the hype about Thom Browne‘s “highwaters” a few years back, I began to like Thom Browne again. Not that I ever didn’t like him, but the I thought the pant length thing was a little over-hyped. Then, of course, when he very easily could have ridden the “highwaters” wave for at least another few years, on a dime, Browne morphed the look of the feel of the line into something cooler than anyone could have imagined.
With his collection for Fall/Winter 2012, I now see I would have never predicted that the New York menswear designer would be such a boundary pusher and one of the few menswear designer’s whose collections are now so artistically and visually creative. Yet another reason to like him. (more…)
