We were shocked to find out by chance this afternoon that not only does MGMT have a new video out, but that their upcoming record Congratulations leaked, which lead the band to post it in full on their site. On a side note, we were on the phone with one of the biggest indie bands interviewing them for something else last night and they say in retrospect the leaks have actually helped them enormously.

We’re a little scared to listen. MGMT‘s first record was soooo good and we ignored them for so long because we were so sick of seeing their name everywhere and even with the hype, it was the hottest thing ever. That sets up big expectations. We’re trying to go in with a clear head, but it’s not going to be easy.
