John Varvatos Fall/Winter 2011

John Varvatos Fall/Winter 2011We just had a peek at John Varvatos collection for Fall/Winter 2011 and, as expected, the man delivers.

The Varvatos brand as we know it is “rock n roll”; while this collection maintains an overall rock n roll feel, we think the designer has definitely been influenced by the high-end lines coming out of Italy and Japan like ma+, Lost & Found, Julius, etc. This collection has lots of pieces that remind us of the aforementioned lines with their hand-constructed pieces, frayed/unfinished edges, and a less tailored more constructed with slightly unconventional cuts aesthetic.

Nonetheless, the overall look and feel is all Varvatos and the line is very cool and very wearable. Just like we like it. Check out the full collection after the click.

LAB HOMME Fall/Winter 2011

LAB H-O-M-M-E Fall/Winter 2011Another line we’ve come to know just recently, but love what they do is Australian menswear brand Lab H O M M E. Check out our coverage of their last collection here.

LAB | Local Art Base aka LAB H O M M E is an independent label in men’s fashion which comes loaded with a healthy sense of the languidly Australian candence albeit with some extras. Combining the construction of European tailoring, a nod of Japanese shape making and bound by quality. The collection creates a foundation of classic, masculine pieces from which to extend future conceptual unisex ranges. Working around the frames of muse Jaymes Triglone, there is a gentleness to this masculinity, a modern approach to romanticism. LAB garments have considered tailoring with an ease to the construction.

See the full Fall/Winter 2011 (we’re 100% not sure if that’s our F/W or theirs, which would be our S/S 11) after the click. For more info and images, check out LAB‘s site.

Versace‘s pushing boundaries for the Fall/Winter 2011 season by livestreaming its men’s runway show from Milan on Facebook.
