830 Sign Fall/Winter 2010There’s a new line from Italy called 830 Sign whose look book images for Fall/Winter 2010 we got last week and, from the looks of things, the line is hot!

Imagine going back to a time when denim was dyed by bare hands, when detail was deliberate and could not be overlooked and the subtle nuances were what set each garment apart. Going back to a time when the quality of each piece added to our wardrobe lasted beyond our years, creating the charm of a treasure we would find in our grandparents closet.

Using superior cashmere and Japanese denim as a keystone for the brand, every piece is carefully created by hand. It is the defining characters that are so subtly embedded in the pieces that make the brand every bit custom.

Check out the images below. Don’t forget to check out 830 Sign’s site, as well as their Facebook page. (more…)

m.a+ Fall/Winter 2010 at Lift TokyoThank god for Lift in Tokyo. They’ve taken some really great pics of the Fall/Winter 2010 collection for m.a+. If it weren’t for them, unless you go into a store that carries the line, you may never get to see what it’s all about. The designer — Maurizio Amadei — keeps thing very hush hush and rarely responds to email requests at all.

Check out the images below, where you’ll see just what you’ve been missing all along. Don’t forget to check out Lift’s site too. For more images and to buy stuff, check out Komakino’s eShop.

Nicholas K Fall/Winter 2010We’re really loving the Fall/Winter 2010 menswear collection by New York label Nicholas K.

Our favorite part? The fact that the line hits the mark at being cool, but not so edgy that only super skinny hipsters can wear it, as is evidenced by the model they chose for the shoot. He’s a man, not a 20 year old 6 foot tall 125lb boy who we usually see. Not that there’s anything wrong with those guys, but with men’s (as with women’s) it’s really hard to get an idea of what a real person would look like in a collection when all you see is gorgeous, tall, thin people wearing the line who couldn’t look lame or bad if they tried.

Nicolas K is cool, wearable, and looks good on guys who actually have flesh on their bodies. It’s really hard for guys who are athletic or muscular to look cool in most lines. Generally the cuts are so tight they end up looking silly. Not so for Nicholas K, as you’ll see in the images below.

Freudian Kicks T-ShirtsThere’s a store in Oslo called Freudian Kicks that sells some of our favorite lines — Odeur, Chronicles of Never, Horace, Uniforms for the Dedicated, Unconitional — that you should definitely check out. Great selection.

In addition to carrying some of the coolest lines around, they also design their own tees, which we think are kinda hot, especially the Freudian Kicks x Oslo Live tee shown above left.

“Our friends at Oslo Live wanted a great festival tee and we could not disappoint them! Designers Linn Sannes Brevik and Charlotte Fische developed the idea of an instant vintage, classic tee. It’s in cotton spandex and heavily washed for the good ‘ol favorite tee feeling. The mens tee is slightly oversized and shorter on the sides.

Skin GraftThere’s a line from LA called Skin Graft that we checked out last week that we think is hot. For the menswear, there’s lots of leather jackets — fitted, dyed, unconstructed, and perforated at times — which you know we love.

The mix of images below is from both the Fall/Winter 2010 collection and the Spring/Summer 2011 collection. The muted color images are from Fall/Winter and the black and white images are from Spring/Summer.

We love the studded leather jacket, the mesh hoodie vest, and the perforated leather vest from the S/S 11 collection. The perforated leather vest is almost like a leather windbreaker vest — it’s a really hot mix of sporty chic like we’ve never seen before.

For more info, check out Skin Graft’s site and their eShop, where they have a few leather jackets for sale that are priced quite reasonably if you ask us.
