Another of my favorites: British menswear designer Asger Juel Larsen just showed his Spring/Summer 2013 collection — Goth Legion — during Copenhagen’s Fashion Week.
Imagine a Goth armoured in his bulletproof black outfit and signed off with a military monster footprint. Now distract this man down the wrong dungeon, thumping him in an underground rave where the walls sweat acid and the crowd glow in the dark. (more…)
Check out the Fall/Winter 2012 collection from menswear designer Asger Juel Larsen. The photos are amazing in their cinematic look and the red jackets stand out for the cut, color, and fit.
The Lucid Disorder is introduced with a leather top that has a melting straightjacket aesthetic to it, deliciously darting between dreamy and dystopian. There’s an immediate air of sophistication to the start of this collection, with coats that focus on boldness rather than erratically shaped behaviour, and furry soviet hats that nestle the story into shape. Asger Juel Larsen is a designer that marks and merits the adventurous and rule breaking reinvention of modern menswear. His aesthetics have been consistently evolving during the academic time frame, illustrating ambition and flare in the imagination.
For Spring/Summer 2011, our friend Ellis Scott shot the look book of London-based menswear designer Asger Juel Larsen. It was the first we’d heard of Larsen and instantly loved the collection. Check out our coverage here.
