We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: there’s just too much damn fashion out there…but that’s not a bad thing at all. It just makes us wonder how lines like Bumsuk Choi‘s menswear line General Idea could have gotten by us. On the bright side, we never get bored.
So we got images from General Idea’s Fall/Winter 2010 collection this week. As with everything, if we haven’t heard of a line, we try to set our expectations medium to low so we don’t get disappointed. This collection, though, was far from a disappointment. With every new image came something we liked as much if not more than the one before.
The jackets are amazing — they’re a very unique mix of classic and edgy blurring the lines between the two. They fill a void between the more classic, preppy, tailored lines out there and the super edgy lines that completely ignore all classic cuts, fits, fabrics, etc. The edgy touches give the pieces cool cred, but coupled with more traditional elements and cuts, guys who are aren’t super hipsters can wear them and not look like wankers.
Have a look for yourself in the images below. Normally, we wouldn’t post 40 images from one collection, but we really couldn’t edit it down. We love love love them all. Don’t forget to check out General Idea‘s site, although we have to admit, we don’t know where on the site info on the clothes is located!
We we sit barefoot, with Havianas or wearing out black low top Vans, all we want to do is tell you about a hot pair of waxed boots that you’re going to love.
We figure that although it’s the first day of summer, if we look at all the Fall/Winter options now and do so over the period of a few months, by the time the temps start to drop, we’ll know what’s out there and will be able to make the best informed decision.
Check out these Vintage Waxed Lace Up Boots by Italian line Neil Tylor. We love the color, the height, the look of the waxed leather, and even the laces. And we should point out that compared to most other boots of this caliber we cover at just under $400, these boots are a steal!
Come window shop with us. We’re obsessed.
You know we love leather, which is why we were so excited to get images from Italian luxury leather line DROMe‘s men’s Fall/Winter 2010 collection.
The DROMe collection for Fall/Winter 2010-11 is dedicated to a man with sophisticated tastes, but who is a rocker at heart. The collection is made up of minimalist detailing and forms, treated surfaces and colors that are never flat, taking on depth and graduated shading. The material weights are wintery yet fine, providing warmth without compromising the silhouettes.
