Jan iu Mes, menswear, Spain, Spring/Summer 2011
Spanish menswear line Jan Iu Mes just sent images from their Spring/Summer 2011 collection and we love it. You’ll remember they did the big, luxurious sweaters for their Fall/Winter 2010 collection that we covered here.
The new line is a nice progression for the brand. We’re quite fond of the black linen short suits and, even though we realize it’s completely impractical, the flesh printed singlet shown above.
Check out the images below. For more info, check out Jan Iu Mes‘ site.

Edun, Fall/Winter 2010, menswear, New York, sweaters
It looks like we’ve been asleep at the wheel when it’s comes to do-gooder, Bono-backed, trade with Africa line Edun. We have to point out though we read on their Facebook page that some stuff is still made in China, which we give them credit for keeping up and being honest about.
While we were sleeping, they went from making tees to making a full line! Maybe it was always a full line, but we only ever saw the tees rack at Bloomingdales? Either way, they’ve got a full line now and we think it’s pretty hot, especially their sweaters.
Check out the images below of three sweaters that we think rock. To buy them, check out Edun’s eShop, where you’ll find pieces from the full collection, including their women’s line.

Fall/Winter 2010, Italy, Mauro Grifoni, menswear
There’s a menswear line from Italy called Mauro Grifoni we stumbled upon in our travels around the Internet a few weeks back that we think is really hot.
The pieces in the line aren’t trendy, but are a modern take on classics with a fresh twist. Everything is made by top-notch tailors (it is an Italian company after all) resulting in a collection that looks and fits like collections with much higher prices.
Check out the images below to see for yourself. Don’t forget to check out Grifoni’s site for more images, a complete history of the line, and images from the Fall/Winter 2010 ad campaign. If anything strikes you’re fancy, thecorner.com carries Grifoni in their eShop.

Sean Bones
As we slowly but surely make our way through the virtual piles of digital downloads of records that come through the office, we listened to the recently-released record Rings by Sean Bones and we love it.
“I’ve always wanted to do my own record,” explains Bones (ne Sullivan), referring to the solo single he released as part of the limited “S/S FRIENDS” fashion line. “I never thought it’d be reggae, but then last summer happened.”
Ah, last summer. At the time, Sullivan was getting restless over the looming release of Sam Champion’s Heavenly Bender LP, so he set aside some no-frills studio time. The two-sided result, “Easy Street” and “Act So Casual,” became an easy, breezy mission statement for Sean Bones…

803 Sign, Fall/Winter 2010, Italy, menswear
There’s a new line from Italy called 830 Sign whose look book images for Fall/Winter 2010 we got last week and, from the looks of things, the line is hot!
Imagine going back to a time when denim was dyed by bare hands, when detail was deliberate and could not be overlooked and the subtle nuances were what set each garment apart. Going back to a time when the quality of each piece added to our wardrobe lasted beyond our years, creating the charm of a treasure we would find in our grandparents closet.
Using superior cashmere and Japanese denim as a keystone for the brand, every piece is carefully created by hand. It is the defining characters that are so subtly embedded in the pieces that make the brand every bit custom.
Check out the images below. Don’t forget to check out 830 Sign’s site, as well as their Facebook page. Read more »
