Check out the Fall/Winter 2014 menswear collection from Mirja Rosendahl.

Mirja Rosendahl‘s fourth menswear collection continues to explore her love of music subcultures past and present. Influences are found in the parallels between the style aesthetics of Michael Jackson and post punk bands like The Cure and Bauhaus.”

“These two contrasting sources have been refined into a wearable and sophisticated combination of sportswear and tailoring. Amid traditional wools, technical nylons and mohair knitwear sit unexpected details such as elastic bondage straps, sequin embellishment and minimal studding – all gently paying homage to the dramatic musical inspirations. A recurring ’30.11.1982′ graphic realised in embroidery and print pays homage to the release date of Michael Jackson’s seminal album Thriller.”

ato Fall/Winter 2014

More from Japan. Check out the Fall/Winter 2014 menswear collection from ato.

ato seeks in creating clothes that symbolize the individual’s identity, making each pattern and style believable to
the wearer. Solid cutting is used on the designs, aimed in creating a silhouette that awakens the character of the
body. Instead of just crating a masculine or feminine line, ato works in creating items from the mind, which in turn brings out the character. This attribute is further applied by giving a name to each pattern, not only for the designer, but so that the models and any staff involved in the creation will have a base and an understanding
of the special character in each garment, consequently targeting the goal of making the best clothes possible.”
