We just got images from the Spring/Summer 2011 collection by menswear label Qasimi and we love it! There are a few pieces that seem out of place to us, but we realize it’s rare to love an entire collection.
We’re amazed at how much great suiting is in the Fall/Winter 10 and Spring/Summer 11 collections — tailored, yet casual, slim fitting and slouchy all bordering on classic suiting but much more interesting cuts, fits, colors, and pairings than we’ve seen in a while.
Qasimi‘s S/S11 collection draws inspiration from Khalid Al Qasimi‘s background in the Middle East, probing into the rural wilderness of a cross-cultural desert trek through time.
As with his Fall/Winter 2010 collection, this collection exudes the signature tailoring for which Qasimi is famed. Minimal lapels, sleeveless suiting, oversized shirting and unlined linen jackets are mixed with a rugged twist of oversized hooded tops all of which are underlined with a hint of the military.
See for yourself in the images below. Make sure to check out Qasimi‘s site for more info and to watch the video of the Fall/Winter 2010 collection.
