KARLOTA LASPALAS Fall/Winter 2012

Another of my favorite lines at 080 Barcelona Fashion — Karlota Laspalas. I’ve covered her collections in the past, which were equally amazing. For the presentation, Laspalas had models descend a staircase in a moody, incensed-soaked Medieval church. Very cool. The clothes? Trust me: the photos don’t do them justice.
The cuts were unbelievable and the fabrics were impeccable in texture and in weights. I’m not sure where the designer gets her ideas, but her collections aren’t what I’d expect from Spanish fashion, although I learned while in Barcelona that local designers are much more into blacks and dark colors and classic menswear than most people realizze.
See for yourself in the images below. Again, the photos don’t do the collection justice. You have to see this one in person to really appreciate how amazing it is. Check out Laspalas‘ official brand site for more information and images.

Impressive pieces. Beautiful use of exquisite wool.
