RoberGellerLevisA350Robert Geller is one designer who just can’t sit still. In addition to his menswear line, he’s working on a set of unisex tees that will launch in the Spring and has just completed a high-end collection for Levi’s that unites the denim leader’s DNA with Geller’s strong, sophisticated aesthetic and tailoring.

Born in Hamburg, Geller is one of the most celebrated, emerging stars in American men’s apparel design today and is known for an aesthetic that explores strength, romance and modern, masculine elegance. Geller was invited to visit and tour the extensive Levi Strauss & Co. brand archives, located in the Levi’s headquarters in San Francisco. Using Levi’s museum-like, apparel archive as a starting point, Geller teamed with Carl Chiara and the Levi’s denim design team to rework and re-conceptualize an assortment of Levi’s most loved denim silhouettes, including the iconic 501 style, the original and authentic blue jean design template.

The Robert Geller for Levi’s limited-edition collection consists of a tightly-edited assortment of 11 essential menswear pieces that couple the denim leader’s work-wear roots with Geller’s raucous, yet romantic aesthetic for the modern male.

The line launches at select Bloomingdale‘s stores and on their website on 09.10.09 and will later be available at select Levi’s stores nationwide and in Japan. Keep your eyes peeled. This one’s going to be good.
