We just saw images from 3.1 Phillip Lim for Fall/Winter 2011 and we think it’s hot. The designer plays with classic shapes tweaking them in ways we haven’t seen by other designers. Pay attention to his jackets — they’re extremely simple and classic, but the fabrics, the details, and the cuts are very modern and fresh. The collar on his sweaters is equally as simple and genuinely novel, cool, and above all wearable. Finally, we love his knits. Pay special attention to the second to last photo after the click: the grey melange used to make a jacket, a cardigan, and a pair of dressy sweats. Genius!
